Learn how to create a classroom culture of math engagement and real-world problem solving through math tasks. David A. Smith is a mathematics specialist for the Utah Office of Education. At the webinar on November 6, Mr. Smith will discuss the positive impact that math tasks have on student learning, retention and application of mathematical constructs. In this webinar, you will learn how K-12 teachers gained understanding of the purpose and structure of math tasks and built capacity to design and deliver task-embedded lessons during the Utah Core Academy. You will also view highlights of an authentic math classroom where students collaborate to solve a task-based problem.
