To have a successful professional learning community requires planning, hardwork, and understanding to create an environment in which the professional learning community can flourish. The foundation of a successful professional learning community is based on four assumptions for educators:
1. We can make a difference. Our schools can be more effective.
2. People improvement is the key to school improvement.
3. Significant school improvement will impact teaching and learning.
4. We know how to do this through Professional Learning Communities.
