How to Create Concept-Based Curriculum for Deeper Understanding

Teachers are often faced with the problem of trying to cover too much content. A curriculum organizes the learning for students and is best structured by concepts. Instead of sacrificing depth of understanding in order to cover more material, educators must start teaching to depth of ideas and use content to help students understand ideas at increasingly sophisticated levels.

This program introduces the progression to deep understanding. It shows the learner progressing from a factual knowledge of the topic to understanding related concepts to a deeper, enduring understanding; as a result, the learner is freed to make intelligent choices.
