About this Lumibook
In 2013, the Learning Progressions for Teachers 1.0: A Resource for Ongoing Teacher Development was created to help describe the increasing complexity of teaching practice for each core standard across three developmental levels. InTASC standards and learning progressions present a vision of teaching that will help all students reach the new learning expectations inherent in the Common Core Standards, and be college and career ready.
Now, educators across the country can learn about the new InTASC standards and progressions, the history behind them, and their application in School Improvement Network’s LumiBook, InTASC Model Core Teaching Standards, authored by Irving Richardson of CCSSO.
This online resource is packed with video links and resources, all designed to help teachers utilize the InTASC standards and progressions in their professional learning by doing the following:
- Observing video clips of teacher performance aligned to the InTASC standards
- Using LumiBook’s Learning Progression Tool to assess where current practice lands on the skills spectrum and to define steps for continuous improvement
- Uploading and sharing strategies for addressing problems of practice tied to each standard
