    Dr. Yvelyne Germain-McCarthy is a highly accomplished professor and educational consultant. Currently a full professor of Mathematics Education at the University of New Orleans, Dr. Germain-McCarthy has taught at a number of universities and secondary schools. She specializes in helping teachers learn to successfully teach mathematics and has consulted with educational organizations and school systems across the country.

    Dr. Germain-McCarthy is an accomplished writer and has published textbooks, many articles, and book chapters dealing with mathematics education. She has given seminars and presentations at the national, regional, and local levels and has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants.

    Dr. Germain-McCarthy received her B.S. in Mathematics and her M.A. in Mathematics Education from Brooklyn College. She earned her M.Ed. and her Ph.D., both in Mathematics Education, from Teachers College at Columbia University.
