Patricia and Douglas Ramsay

Patricia Shields-Ramsay and Douglas Ramsay, through their company InPraxis Learning Systems, offer a wealth of experience in resource development, project management, workshop presentations and consulting services.

More specifically they have been involved in managing projects for both the public and private sectors, developing teacher and student resource materials, carrying out research projects, and organizing and presenting at conferences, workshops and in-services. Their involvement with field-based research and curriculum analysis for publishers and foundations has taken them into schools, where they have worked extensively with teachers across various Canadian jurisdictions.

Patricia and Doug have a strong background as classroom teachers, specializing in citizenship, character and social studies education. Patricia has taught methods courses at the University of Alberta, and Doug has worked with administrators in the cognitive coaching process. Both are qualified facilitators for The Leadership Challenge. While Patricia and Doug’s work has been focused in Alberta and across Canada, they have also worked in American and international contexts.
