Jackie Walsh
Dr. Jackie Walsh is the co-developer of Questioning and Understanding to Improve Learning and Thinking (QUILT), a program to help teachers learn effective questioning skills. She has helped teachers across the country learn better questioning skills in order to stimulate student learning.
A former classroom teacher, Dr. Walsh has written several books on questioning and has co-developed a variety of professional development programs. She has served as faculty for the National Staff Development Council and is a senior research and development specialist at Appalachian Regional Education Laboratory (AEL).
Dr. Walsh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Duke University, a Master’s degree in Teaching from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in Education Administration from the University of Alabama.
