Darrell Morris
Darrell Morris is a renowned author and teacher in the field of helping young, struggling students learn to read. Says Morris, “There’s a lot of power if you catch kids early and provide them with one-on-one assistance.” Dr. Morris helps educators learn how to help young readers through his books and workshops. He travels around the country helping districts set up early reading-intervention programs. He is the author of several books and many articles.
Dr. Morris is a Professor of Language, Reading, and Exceptionalities and the Director of the Reading Clinic at the Appalachian State University. He received his Ed.D. from University of Virginia.
